I’m going to attempt
to make this my journal again instead of just reblogging images that make me lolz. Yeah, let’s see how that goes.
I lost the microSD card that housed 8 gigabytes worth of my stuff [including recent photos from my travels in Vietnam, Cambodia and Mexico that I failed to upload to my computer out of sheer laziness] and I’m trying to not be upset about it.
Most likely situation is that I carelessly ejected the thing from my old mobile phone, wrapped it up in an old receipt and hastily threw this into my bag while mentally stressing to myself that I was not to discard it. That was about two months ago, ample time for the adhesive bits of the Post-It notes slapped inside the walls of my skull to weaken. I’m pretty sure the mental Post-It note that says “Hey! Don’t throw away that neatly folded receipt! Your microSD card is nestled in its warm creases!” is lying somewhere next to several other “Hey! Your car parking ticket is wedged in your back pocket / in your back purse / underneath your dashmat!” notes in a messy pile in my head.
I’m trying to think about things from the point of view of “Hey! At least I’ve got all the memories in my head! It’s not like I can accidentally misplace my brain” which is offering me some relief, I guess, but I still hope that little piece of black plastic turns up somewhere.
And it’s not like they were even amazing photographs. I just wanted to be able to look at them and be like, “Oh yeah. I forgot about that. This poorly composed photograph doesn’t even capture a fraction of how beautiful Halong Bay was. And it was beautiful. And oh yeah, I kayaked for the first time despite being scared of large bodies of water because I don’t know how to swim for shit. And oh yeah, that lagoon.”
I guess I should start to back shit up more regularly.

I am undecided about: tickling. I believe in: gut feelings, karma, tangents, lust, softness, mistakes, dinosaurs, magic, comfortable silences and most conspiracy theories. I also have a cat named Radioactive Man.
